How to change name in PAN Card in 2023

You can easily update/correct your details in a PAN card by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Go to the official NSDL E-Governance website at www.tin-nsdl.com.

Step 2: In the Services section, locate and select the option labeled "PAN".

Step 3: Select the option "Apply" located in the section titled "Change/Correction in PAN Data".

Step 4: Choose the option 'Changes or Correction in existing PAN data/Reprint of PAN Card' from the drop-down menu labelled 'Application Type'.

Step 5- To choose the appropriate category for the assessee, simply click on the 'Category' dropdown menu and select the correct option. For instance, if your PAN is registered under your name, you should choose 'Individual' from the available options.

Step 6- Please provide your personal details including your full name, date of birth, email address and mobile number.

Step 7-Enter the Captcha code and then click on the "Submit" button.

Step 8- Your request will be registered and a Token Number will be sent to the email ID provided by you. You can continue the process by clicking the button given below it.

Step 9- Once you continue, you will be directed to the form where you have three choices for submitting your documents. Simply click on "Submit scanned images through e-Sign on NSDL e-gov".

Step 10- Please provide all the required information including your father's name, optional mother's name, Aadhaar number, and proceed by clicking on the 'Next' button.

Step 11- You will be redirected to a different webpage where you can make changes to your current address.

Step 12- Please upload all the essential documents, including proof of address, proof of age, proof of identity, and PAN card.

Step 13- You need to sign the declaration and click “Submit”.

Step 14- You will be redirected to the payment page. Payment can be made through demand draft, net banking, and Credit card/Debit card.

Step 15- After making a successful payment, the system will generate an acknowledgement slip for you. It is important to take a printout of this slip and mail it along with your physical documents to the NSDL e-gov office. Make sure to affix two photographs in the designated space on the slip and sign across it. Additionally, remember to write 'Application for PAN Change' at the top of the envelope and include your acknowledgement number as well.
